From today, tough new restrictions are in place banning construction and non-urgent repair work in a bid to stem growing number of workplace COVID-19 cases.
The Premier says the lockdown extension will be determined by tests which are currently in the lab and he hopes to give an update tomorrow. “I don’t want to see families and individuals go through the guilt and distress and see loved ones impacted by what is, as Dr Chant says every day, a very serious illness,” she said.
“Of the 24 people in intensive care, one has had a vaccination, with one person having had a dose of AstraZeneca vaccine,” she said.
