andSydneysiders face another disrupted commute today, despite the government agreeing to spend $264 million to meet the transport union’s safety upgrade demands.on Friday, NSW Transport Minister David Elliott accused the Rail, Tram & Bus Union of political point scoring by continuing to slow the city’s transport network despite their demands being met.

Elliot maintained the upgrades to the train fleet aren’t “necessary” and said the government had agreed to them in good faith. Alex Claassens, the rail union’s NSW branch secretary, said the state government had repeatedly changed their position on ameliorating the defect. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese meets with Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau at the NATO leaders’ summit in Spain.But Trudeau appeared to either forget his colleagues name or perhaps be more familiar with Albanese - referring to him as “Tony”.

The pair said they could work together on closely on combatting climate change and “inclusive economic growth”.
