Australia is now one of only three nations in the world to acquire long-range Tomahawk strike missiles, which boast a range of 1,500 km, says Defence Industry Minister Pat Conroy. “It provides a strong deterrent for the Australian Defence Force against any potential aggressor,” Mr Conroy said during a media conference on Monday. “Only by deterrence can we promote strategic balance in our region and promote peace and stability as well.”
