Australia 's biggest music industry names are gathering to celebrate the 2023 ARIA Awards in Sydney. Fifty years on, it's been a year of celebrations. With Double J's Hau Latukefu outlining the history in a voice over, the ARIAs marked the occasion with performances by N'fa Forster-Jones of 1200 Techniques who rapped a verse from Karma. Sue Lowry from Southport Special School in Queensland has taken out the ARIA Music Teachers Award.
Impersonated by Timothee Chalamet on SNL, he has been a global sensation, earning six ARIA nominations for tonight and a couple of Grammy nominations for early next year. He previously won two ARIAs for his 2015 jam YOUTH and has plenty of chances to add to that tally tonight
