The NSW and federal governments have committed $528 million to build Australia's first comprehensive children's cancer centre in Sydney, as well as an upgrade to the Children's Hospital at Randwick.
Health Minister Greg Hunt told Sky News he hopes the centre will not only have an impact on Australian children, but those across the world. 'We have the world’s best researchers, we have the world’s best clinicians, but this is going to mean that they can come together in the one space to make sure the research that’s occurring can go straight from the bench to the bedside.
