Phyllis O’Donnell was Australia’s first female surfing world champion, claiming victory in the 1964 world titles, alongside Midget Farrelly, at Manly. Phyllis was also one of surfing’s most endearing characters. She travelled the world in pursuit of waves, visited Hawaii 18 times and loved to surf Sunset.
