Australia’s leading medical regulatory body has said it will be investigating an illegal engagement party in Melbourne after two doctors were found to have attended.
“We are aware that Victoria Police have stated that they intend to take action with respect to individuals who attended the event,” an AHPRA spokesperson said.AHPRA has the power to suspend the licenses of health practitioners and said the regulatory body would be acting against those who refused to abide by the lockdown laws.
“National Boards can and will take action for failing to comply with legal obligations in your state or territory.”
