Australia's international summer of cricket kicks off at the MCG at 2:30pm AEDT, with the first of six limited-overs men's clashes with Pakistan.
Australia 's men's team kicks off the international summer this afternoon at 2:30pm AEDT, with an ODI against Pakistan at the MCG .The teams will play two more ODIs and three T20s ahead of the five-Test series against India, starting on November 22. Cricket Australia is hoping a looming public holiday and a game featuring Pakistan can help lure spectators to the MCG for the start of the international summer.
Just four ODIs have previously been played at the MCG in November, with an average attendance for those matches just 16,096. The Victorian public will be able to watch homegrown players Matt Short, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Glenn Maxwell go about their business.
