The Australian Taxation Office has released data compiled by tax returns from 2019-2020, filed by more than 14 million Australians.The swanky beachside suburb of Cottesloe in Perth is one of the richest in Australia.
But New South Wales postcodes filled eight out of the remaining nine top 10 spots, with 2027 recording an average taxable income of $205,957 in second place. And if you're curious as to who might live in the poshest suburbs in the country, the ATO can offer some suggestions.
