Wendy's will soon be available in a yet-to-be-revealed location in Australia.
There was once a Wendy's Hamburger Restaurant in Victoria in the 1980s that was short-lived. Now, Australian franchise partners are free to make their own attempts with the world's third-largest fast food burger brand, according to Sydney-based franchise strategist DC Strategy, at the price of $1 million.
"The Wendy’s Company is looking for world-class, experienced franchise partners with strong operations experience and a proven track record for growing brands in Australia," DC Strategy said in a statement."The brand is also focused on building long-term relationships with partners who share Wendy’s values, commitment to quality, and passion for fast food done the right way."Wendy's has 7,000 stores worldwide, including neighboring New Zealand.
This comes after Wendy's has created its own"Wendyverse" in Meta Horizon Worlds this year, announcing the fifth of its worlds in August. It includes Wendyverse Town Square, Spicy Nugget Island, Frosty Mountain Village, Buck Biscuitdome, and Sunrise City and allows virtual users to play various menu-related games.
Other American fast food restaurants already in the country include Wahlburgers, Taco Bell, In-N-Out, McDonald's, Burger King, Carl's Jr., and most recently Five Guys. It opened in September 2021 during a lockdown period.Australia has a strict code on marketing unhealthy food to children, prohibiting some brands from any form of marketing in a medium that has an audience equal to or more than 35% of children.
