Rex Airlines has announced it will add a new route to its growing domestic service due to a rise in demand and popularity from Australian travellers.

The company revealed on Friday it will begin flying to the west of the country between Melbourne and Perth, with flights to take off from the end of next month. "When more airlines compete on a particular route, consumers benefit and our record in the domestic markets speaks for itself – Rex delivers terrific value for money,” he said.The first flight will be on June 28, coinciding with the winter school holidays.Victoria's Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events, said the state is looking forward to welcoming Western Australians into the second most populous state.
