Bodies found in Mexico during search for Australian brothers and American identified with trio likely shot dead in armed robbery
Perth brothers Callum and Jake Robinson who went missing with their American friend in Mexico have been confirmed dead after their bodies were found ditched in a well on a renowned surf stretch. The three men disappeared during a surfing trip in the northern state of Baja California more than a week ago, sparking a major search operation in the Ensenada region, about 110km south of the Mexico-United States border crossing.
On Saturday four bodies were found thrown inside a 15-metre deep well near a clifftop on the popular surfing beach of Punta San José, Santo Tomás, of which one was identified to be that of a ranch owner reported missing several weeks ago. Early Monday morning, the remaining three bodies were identified to be those of the Robinson brothers and Mr Rhoad, confirmed by their family members who travelled to Mexico over the weekend.
