“They would pick fruit and help with a massive harvest. “I am told there are about 20,000 left. Mr Jones spoke with Droverag managing director John Boote about the matter. “It is going to rot in the paddock,” Mr Boote said. “This year finally these poor guys have got a crop that’s harvestable that’s going to pay back loans and put money in the bank finally, and now they don’t have people to get the crop off, it is just so frustrating.
