The Australian Federal Police charge an Arncliffe man with one count of trafficking children and claim to have removed at least seven potential victims from sexual exploitation following a 20-month investigation into an alleged criminal syndicate operating between Australia and Indonesia.

Australian Federal Police claim to have removed at least seven potential victims from sexual exploitation following a 20-month investigation into the alleged syndicate operating between Australia and Indonesia. Officers searched several properties in Sydney's south-west in March this year, where they allegedly found several foreign nationals who were identified as potential victims of human trafficking."This result is a testament to our resolve and the resolve of the Australian Federal Police to stop the exploitation of vulnerable women being trafficked into Australia for sexual exploitation," Commander Ferry said.
In May 2024, authorities raided another three brothels across Sydney, where they found another nine women alleged to be engaged in sex work in violation of their visa conditions.
