17/03/2019Muslim community leader Jamal Rifi says that extremist groups of any ideology are ‘dangerous to the fabric of our society’, wanting to divide countries and to dominate everyone else.
Friday’s mosque massacre in Christchurch has seen at least 50 people die, after a gunman opened fire on two mosques. Mr Rifi says the Muslim community in Australia has shown maturity, restraint and insight, forming a Christchurch Response Group to provide prayer and material goods to those affected by the attacks.
