Olympic organisers have planned a spectacular opening ceremony down the River Seine like no other. However, there could be an issue.

The Australian Olympic Committee hopes to avoid an opening ceremony problem this month after Paris organisers informed participating nations that some boats carrying athletes down the River Seine won’t have a toilet on board.

Taking an opening ceremony out of a stadium has had its challenges. More than 80 boats are being organised to transport the country representatives in front of an expected 320,000 spectators. Complicating matters will be the fact that athletes preparing for competition will have greater than normal levels of hydration.
