American teenage sensation Coco Gauff is reportedly on track to carve out one of the richest careers tennis has ever seen.
Gauff, who stormed into the fourth round by thumping defending champion Naomi Osaka off the court, will collect $300,000 even if she loses on Saturday, but that will leap to $525,000 if she wins,After former World No. 1 Naomi Osaka recently secured a monster multi-year deal with Nike, reported to be worth $8.5 million, Gauff is now forecast to secure a similar payday in the near future.
She signed rich deals with pasta company Barilla as well as tennis racquet company Head and sports apparel company New Balance – but just 12 months later it seems it is those companies that struck bargain deals.
