Breaking Another positive COVID-19 case has been found on board a plane that flew into Melbourne for the Australian Open, forcing more players to isolate.

The Australian Open has been dealt a fresh blow after news that a further 25 players have been forced into hard lockdown, taking the total number in quarantine – and unable to train – to 72.

The news that a passenger on the flight had tested positive was tweeted by French professional tennis player Alexandre Müller late on Sunday."Unfortunately we have some bad news for you. We have just been informed by the health authorities that a person on your flight ... has returned a positive PCR test on arrival in Melbourne," the communication from Tennis Australia said.

It comes after two other flights into Melbourne were found to have had a total of four positive cases on board, forcing 125 people into isolation for 14 days.
