Superstar batter Beth Mooney has scored a nervous century at the MCG to become the first Australian woman to score a ton in all three formats of the game. Mooney was unbeaten on 98 on Friday and it was a very tentative start on Saturday as she tried to bring up the 100.

She was jumpy at the crease and had to wait until England’s Sophie Ecclestone dropped one short on the final ball of the first over to get a decent piece of it and find the two runs required. “She further cements herself as one of the greats,” said Seven commentator Alister Nicholson. “The first Australian woman to score a century in all three formats of the game.
