The Australian coach who openly expressed his desire for a South Korean Olympian to beat an Aussie swimmer has been sacked following the eyebrow-raising remarks.

The Olympic swim coach who made"un- Australia n" remarks in an interview prior to the Paris Games has learnt his fate after he was spared from being thrown out of the team weeks earlier.

Almost six weeks since the conclusion of the Paris Games, Swimming Australian confirmed Palfrey had been sacked following a review.
