An Australian woman has been allegedly gang raped in Paris ahead of the start of the Olympics. A major police investigation is reportedly underway, with the alleged crime occurring in the party district of the French capital on Saturday morning, about 5am. French media, including Le Journal du Dimanche, reported the alleged victim sought refuge in a kebab shop, located on the Boulevard de Clinchy in the city’s 18th arrondissement, following the incident.
“She went inside with her dress on back to front, it was reportedly torn. “She told police she had been raped by five men. Now, this woman was taken to a local hospital. It was there she underwent a medical examination. “It’s alleged this happened over the weekend, in the early hours of Saturday morning.” Mullany added the woman was planning to travel back to Australia, but is now remaining in Paris to help police with their investigation.
