An Australian woman has been killed and her daughter injured in Sri Lanka after the hired taxi they were travelling in crashed.
According to local media reports, the car plunged from a cliff at Dara Wanguwa in Hemmathagama, around 100 kilometres north-east of the capital Colombo.The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade said it is providing assistance to the family."Consular officials from the High Commission in Colombo are supporting another Australian woman who was injured in the accident."
