NSW One Nation Leader RealMarkLatham says Australians don’t want “armed conflict” with China.

NSW One Nation Leader Mark Latham says Australians don’t want “armed conflict” with China.

It comes as Former Foreign Minister Bob Carr has defended his decision to speak at a seminar, organised by Chinese-Australian billionaire Chau Chak Wing and attended by President Xi Jinping. “We’ve certainly had too many of these Chinese communist characters infiltrating Australian politics, up to no good,” Mr Latham told Sky News Australia.

“We used to have a close relationship with China, it’s all gone to sea now, and I think we’ve got to find a middle way. “Australians don’t want armed conflict with China, but at the same time, we don’t want to have to submit to some of their wrong tactics and infiltration of Australian politics.”
