Charlie 'Jay' McCord was fatally shot around noon on Oct. 14, 2014 inside his barbershop, Mr. Barber Man, at 1551 Mt. Meigs Rd. in Montgomery. Investigators released a photo of a vehicle they say is a “major piece of the puzzle” and a $5,000 reward.

Authorities on Thursday released a photo of a vehicle they say is crucial to solving the 2014 cold case homicide of a Montgomery barbershop owner.

McCord was fatally shot around noon on Oct. 14, 2014 inside his barbershop, Mr. Barber Man, at 1551 Mt. Meigs Rd. in Montgomery. Police labeled the man shown here a suspect in Charlie "Jay" McCord's murder. He has not been identified. The driver of the following vehicle made contact with McCord in the barbershop just before he was killed, according to CrimeStoppers, which cited investigators:
