A well-established industrial automation and systems integration company specializing in control systems, PLC programming, SCADA solutions, and project support for manufacturing and industrial environments, is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Automation & Systems Engineer to join their team in Amanzimtoti.
Automation & Systems Engineer to join their team in Amanzimtoti. The successful candidate will play a key role in PLC programming, SCADA configuration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and project execution.
This position offers a combination of office-based responsibilities and on-site technical support, providing excellent exposure to industrial automation projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop, modify, and maintain PLC programs, primarily on Delta PLC platformsTroubleshoot control systems and resolve software-related issuesConfigure, maintain, and optimize SCADA systemsImplement system upgrades, modifications, and troubleshooting activitiesAssist with planning and execution of automation projectsMonitor timelines, deliverables, and project progressMaintain and update system documentation, data packs, and data booksCompile reports and perform analysis using ExcelSource and evaluate supplier quotationsCoordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal departmentsProvide technical support during commissioning, breakdowns, and upgradesWork closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure operational efficiencyDiploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field preferredStrong hands-on experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and commissioningProficient computer skills, including Microsoft ExcelKnowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and Ethernet/IPExperience with Power BI or similar reporting toolsOur client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.
