The Colorado Avalanche, Boston Bruins and Vegas Golden Knights have all won their first six games of the NHL season. It's the first time in league history that three teams have all done that. The Golden Knights with seven consecutive victories have already set the record for the best start by a defending Stanley Cup champion.

“We’ve got talent, for one,” coach Bruce Cassidy said, when asked about the undefeated start. “We have different guys that can help you win. That’s probably the simplest answer. We’ve got a lot of good players that can hurt you offensively.”in Chicago to improve to 6-0-0, coach Jim Montgomery said he was starting to see the team’s identity build.

Theodore's last-minute goal keeps Golden Knights unbeaten as Vegas beats Flyers 3-2Shea Theodore blasted a shot from above the left circle with 32.5 seconds left to give Vegas a 3-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers and extend the Golden Knights’ winning streak to seven games to open the season. Ivan Barbashev and Paul Cotter also scored for the Knights and Jack Eichel had two assists. Logan Thompson made 26 saves.
