It's only the sixth movie ever to cross the landmark – and James Cameron now boasts three of those six movies. Next in Avatar 2's sights will be Avengers: Infinity War and Star Wars: The Force Awakens , both of which it will overtake to become the fourth biggest movie ever.
When that happens, Cameron will have directed three of the biggest four movies of all time with the sequel joining Avatar and Titanic in the $2 billion club.
