Avatar: The Way of Water leaves a big Kiri mystery unsolved
The long-awaited sequel is now in cinemas and introduces fans to the next generation of the Sully family. Among the Sully children though, it's actually their adopted daughter Kiri who proves the most intriguing.to set up what's to come. As a result, he leaves a major mystery hanging unanswered about Kiri by the time the credits roll.
Before her death, she did tell Jake she saw Eywa who is the guiding force of life on Pandora with the Na'vi believing that Eywa keeps the ecosystem in perfect balance. The Na'vi can use the Tree of Souls to 'communicate' with Eywa, as well as uniting with all their fellow Na'vi. At one point, Kiri connects herself to the Spirit Tree which is the Metkayina equivalent of the Tree of Souls. She sees Grace and has a brief conversation with her before Kiri has a seizure that almost kills her.
