The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose 9.2 cents Tuesday to $5.939, its highest amount since Oct. 18.
The average price has risen 53 of the past 57 days, increasing 99 cents, including 2.8 cents Monday and 12.7 cents Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 39.3 cents more than one week ago, 63.1 cents more than one month ago and 54.6 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped 49.6 cents since rising to a record $6.435 on Oct. 5.
