Jake Fraser-McGurk discusses the challenges of dealing with pressure after a string of low scores, following his recent omission from the Australian one-day team.
Jake Fraser-McGurk has opened up on dealing with pressure after another low score just days on from losing his spot in the Australian one-day team for the upcoming Champions Trophy. The 22-year-old was run out for seven as the Melbourne Renegades fell to a four-wicket loss to the Hobart Hurricanes on Tuesday night.
Axed Aussie star shares difficult truth in raw mid-match interview. The mix-up condemned Fraser-McGurk to a fifth single-figure score in nine Big Bash games this season. The Victorian burst onto the scene last year to earn Australian ODI and T20 debuts while he continued to get a taste of the big time in the Indian Premier League. But nothing has gone to plan since, starting with lean returns in white-ball series against Pakistan at the start of the summer and continuing in the BBL.
