Democratic Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna Pressley joined hundreds of women outside the Supreme Court on Sunday, marking the one-year anniversary of Justice Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation by calling for his impeachment.
Addressing the many demonstrators at the"reclaim the court" event organized by Women's March, Demand Justice and CPD Action, Pressley said that"for generations, we have softened our language and moderated tone.""Together we will raise our voices to mobilize our communities and to legislate our destiny. I believe in the power of us," she said.
The Massachusetts representative's resolution has received backing from 13 House Democrats, including New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar and Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib.
