The tot, who is younger than two, was seriously injured when she was attacked by the hound in Cheltenham and raced to hospital.
She was transferred to another hospital where she today remains there in a critical condition.Cops today confirmed the large dog, which was not a banned breed, had been seized.
The force said: "An infant has sustained serious injuries after she was bitten by a dog inside her home in Cheltenham on Sunday 14 April. "Officers and paramedics attended the incident which happened at a property in the Hatherley area of the town just before 6pm on Sunday.
