The BAFTA Film Awards return this evening with a new home in the Royal Festival Hall at London’s Southbank Cente, where this year’s nominees are lining the red carpet.The awards ceremony is hosted by Richard E. Grant . Festivities will kick off at roughly 5:45 p.m. local time. BBC One will begin airing the show an hour later at 7 p.m.
Other major plans set for the evening include a performance from Mercury Prize-winning rapper Little Simz, and Dame Helen Mirren will lead a tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II.All Quiet on the Western Fronthaul equals the previous record set by Ang Lee’sfor the most nominations for a non-English language film in BAFTA history.
