'This is about to ruin my life.'
A baker has gone viral on TikTok for her ingenious DIY chocolate ice cream recipe. TikTok user Tigga Maccormack had her followers salivating after releasing a tutorial on how to turn a regular Cadbury Crunchie bar into a delicious refreshing summertime treat.
The short clip begins with Tigga explaining how she is about to transform four regular Crunchies into ice cream bars using only four ingredients. She starts of by crushing the chocolate snack while their still in the wrapper using a rolling pin. After that she sits them upright in a jug and opens the foil wrappers from one end. The Australia-based cake artist then goes to make the ice cream by pouring milk, condensed milk and vanilla into a jug before pouring the mixture into the wrappers.
After a little shake, she places ice cream sticks into the mixture and places them in to the freezer for 24 hours, although she does concede that it probably won't take that long. The tutorial of Tigga's 'easy and delicious' recipe has amassed four million views on TikTok with many in the comments already thinking of their own versions with their favourite chocolate treats.
A commenter who was keen to give it a go sarcastically said: "This is about to ruin my life." While another who was just as eager added: "Heading to corner shop now for 6 chocolate bars and ingredients! (6 cause I'll have to eat one while making as a test." Some fans however were quick to point out that Crunchie ice creams are already available at several UK supermarkets such as Tesco and Iceland.
