"All the items included in this shooting were provided by third parties that confirmed in writing that these props were fake office documents," Balenciaga said in the statement.According to reports, Balenciaga has filed a $US25 million lawsuit against the company that produced the advertisements, North Six, and set designer Nicholas Des Jardins.

"We take full accountability for our lack of oversight and control of the documents in the background and we could have done things differently.""As Balenciaga is aware, numerous boxes of documents simply were sourced from a prop house as rental items," she told AFP.
