The Barbie movie reveals its outstanding list of soundtrack artists, including many of today's top pop stars, and Ken actor Ryan Gosling.

Barbie reveals its list of soundtrack artists, including a lineup of today’s biggest pop stars, and Ryan Gosling . Having spent years in development, with everyone from Amy Schumer to Anne Hathaway reported as being attached, Barbie is at last ready to hit theaters, with Margot Robbie playing one version of the iconic doll. Starring alongside Robbie, in the role of Barbie’s ever-faithful boyfriend Ken, is Oscar-nominated La La Land actor Gosling.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT But Gosling won’t only be flashing his acting skills as a member of the Barbie cast, he will also contribute to the film’s soundtrack, alongside a list of today’s biggest pop stars. As just revealed by Rolling Stone, the Barbie soundtrack is headlined by the likes of Dua Lipa, Lizzo, Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj, with more artists yet to be unveiled.

Ryan Gosling Has A Weird And Interesting Musical History Seeing Gosling’s name listed among all those huge pop stars may be a bit jarring, but in fact the Ken actor does have some real musical experience under his belt. Movie fans of course remember him for flashing his singing and dancing skills in Damien Chazelle’s La La Land, the film in which Gosling’s character saved jazz.

But more than just singing and dancing in films, Gosling has also written and performed music as a member of the rock duo Dead Man’s Bones, who released their one-and-only album back in 2009. One of the tracks off that Halloween-themed album, "In the Room Where You Sleep,” was featured in the film The Conjuring, and others showed up on the show Dollhouse.

Now Gosling is getting a chance to add to his interesting and somewhat strange musical resume by contributing a track to Barbie. It’s yet to be seen whether he gets to perform the song in the movie, but the thought of Ken doing a full-on musical number doesn’t seem all that unlikely, given the glimpses of Greta Gerwig’s film that have already been shown via Barbie trailers.
