Early numbers indicate the seat of Barkly, a notionally Labor seat, could be won by the Country Liberal Party in the NT election.

The seat was first won by Labor in 2001 and is currently held by Labor with a 15.9 per cent margin. Numbers show the CLP’s candidate Steve Edgington is beating Labor candidate Sid Vashist by around 17 per cent in primary votes.
