During an exclusive interview with NBC News' Pete Williams, Attorney General William Barr expressed confidence in FBI Director Christopher Wray.
Wray, appointed to the position by President Donald Trump, embraced the findings of Inspector General Michael Horowitz' report on the origins of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. The report absolved the FBI of political bias. The president attacked Wray, saying that "I don’t know what report current Director of the FBI Christopher Wray was reading, but it sure wasn’t the one given to me.
