A federal grand jury on Thursday indicted a 37-year-old Vallejo man for assaulting federal agents with a firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, a U.S. Attorney said.
Jurors returned a three-count indictment against Sean Thomas Delapp, who faces arraignment at 2 p.m. Monday in a Sacramento courtroom, Phillip A. Talbert, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of California, said in a press release.
According to court documents, Delapp assaulted two FBI special agents by chasing them with his car, pulling up alongside them, and aiming a firearm at them through the window, making a recoil motion with the firearm. A subsequent search warrant at his residence yielded the discovery of a Glock 29 semiautomatic handgun, ammunition, and various firearm parts.
