BBC Radio 2 listeners were left confused after a highly-anticipated Eurovision 2023 announcement was skipped during Zoe Ball’s Breakfast Show.
A frustrated fan wrote: ‘I’ve been watching BBC Radio 2 since 6 waiting for the Eurovision news and nothing this show ends in literally half an hour.’at the 11,000-capacity Liverpool Arena, culminating in the grand final on Saturday May 13.
The stage covers 220 square metres of the venue, with its architecture taking inspiration from ‘a wide hug that enfolds the Liverpool Arena’, which is set to give the impression of ‘opening its arms to Ukraine, and the show’s performers and guests from across the world’, according to the BBC.supports HTML5 videoA first look at the stage, through CGI, shows a large rounded venue, with lights flashing into every corner, and filled to the brim with fans.
The pictures show the stage extending out into the standing audience area, which is placed in front of the performer’s booths where the acts can enjoy the other contestants on stage.
