The Leeds presenter has been praised for her 'brutal' interview of the Prime Minister
The under-fire PM appeared on BBC Radio Leeds on Thursday morning to answer questions about the state of the economy. Presenter Rima Ahmed started the interview asking Ms Truss the question on many people's lips this week: "Where've you been?" following her mini-budget announcement the previous week.
"So, we had to take decisive action and that's why we took action to make sure people aren't paying a typical fuel bill of more than £2,500, that's going to come in this Saturday." Claire tweeted: "Liz expected the local radio to be soft ball questions and then she met Rima. Good work BBC Radio Leeds."
