He was put on report four times in one game last year, but Thomas Flegler is reaping the rewards of a calmer approach to footy, with the Dolphins-bound front-rower set to make his Kangaroos debut against New Zealand on Saturday night.
Flegler also played a key role in Brisbane’s run to the grand final, with the big man scoring a try against Penrith in the decider in what was his last game for the club. Flegler hasn’t relied on meditation or any breathing exercises to calm himself down, with the prop forward more worried about not letting his teammates down with brain explosions.
