With Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson suffering a 'major neurocognitive disorder', a California judge appoints two longtime representatives — his publicist Jean Sievers and his manager LeeAnn Hard — as the 81-year-old's conservators.
A judge has found that Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson should be in a court conservatorship to manage his personal and medical decisions, because of what his doctor calls a "major neurocognitive disorder".
The judge said that evidence showed that Wilson consented to the arrangement and lacked the capacity to make healthcare decisions.Judge May appointed two of Wilson's longtime representatives, his publicist Jean Sievers and his manager LeeAnn Hard, as his conservators.
He said Wilson was "mostly difficult to understand and gave very short responses to questions and comments".Wilson credited Ledbetter with stabilising his famously troubled life after they met in the mid-1980s and married in 1995. The Wilson petition did not seek a conservator of the estate because his assets are in a trust, with Ms Hard as a trustee.
