A shark sighting has forced the closure of several beaches in Victoria. 9News
Edithvale, Aspendale, Bonbeach and Chelsea beaches were shut down for several hours.
Life Saving Victoria later identified the species in question as a blue shark measuring about 1.5–2 metres long.Once lifeguards had closed the beach they continued to monitor the situation as they patrolled and pushed the shark to deeper water.The beaches were closed for two hours after the shark was sighted to ensure it had left the area.Continue reading
