Lamarre-Condon, a former NSW Police officer, did not appear in court for a compliance hearing on Tuesday, as his lawyers gave an update on his life in prison.
The lawyer for former NSW Police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon says the charges of murdering Jesse Baird and Luke Davies at a Paddington home could be defensible, after earlier giving an update on his client’s life in jail.
On Tuesday, Lamarre-Condon, now a former officer, did not appear in the Downing Centre Local Court for a compliance hearing as his lawyer, John Walford, rose to his feet and spoke. Walford declined to elaborate on how he could defend his client, other than agreeing mental health was “probably” going to form part of the case.
Police allege Lamarre-Condon, for days following his arrest, had refused to say where he had dumped the bodies of the two men. Within 20 minutes Baird and his partner, Davies, were found in surfboard bags on a fence line of another property near Bungonia.
