Mason’s body was found the morning of March 23 under a bridge in Fort Worth along Precinct Line Road. Her family says she was last seen in Dallas almost a week before then.
A balloon release for Janeecia “Nene” Mason was held by the softball field at Trinity High School in Euless on Thursday, March 30, 2023. Mason, an alumna of the school, was identified by Fort Worth police after being found dead under a bridge last week. Dallas police confirmed a “want to locate” report for Mason was made just before 8 p.m. March 19. Fort Worth police declined Thursday evening to provide any new details surrounding Mason’s death or the recent arrest, citing the pending investigation.
