The Beauty Point Tourist Park made headlines earlier this year when it was investigated by the West Tamar Council for potential non-compliance, and for issuing eviction notices to three residents.Residents of the Beauty Point Tourist Park in Tasmania's north say they are subject to restrictive rules, and that living at the park is causing anxiety.

The park has not permitted residents to sell their cabins and caravans on-site since February this year — when West Tamar Council said it was investigating allegations of long-term residencies at the park. "I've postponed my operation because we can't have anybody here after nine o'clock at night," she said.In October, residents were given notice site fees would increase from $162 to $213 a week, starting in January.

"What people need to realise and understand is that this is our business and our land, and they're just guests of ours in a caravan and an annexe," he said. "On multiple occasions, they disclosed private information of our directors to other individuals," he said. Following that decision, two other evicted residents also successfully sought a temporary injunction.
