A former Chelsea footballer has hit back at online trolls after revealing his new career as a builder following his retirement from the Premier League .

Despite lifting a Premier League title with Leicester in 2016 and fielding a number of offers from Championship clubs, Drinkwater opted to retire from football in 2023. Drinkwater, who reportedly lost about £2 million on a failed restaurant venture, has been open about his mental health struggles as an athlete.
