McKee's Country Store and Restaurant won the first ever Ulster Fry World Championship
Last weekend a farm shop and restaurant just outside Newtownards was named the winner of the first ever Ulster Fry World Championship and we just had to see how good their award-winning breakfast really is.
After finding a parking spot we went outside and found a queue stretching out of the restaurant as people waited to place their orders before finding a table. While the restaurant was very busy, the queue moved quickly and we placed our order after about five minutes and had no problems getting a table.
The sausages and soda bread in particular were a highlight, with the sausages being full of flavour and the soda was the nicest I have had for a very long time. Everything else on the plate also went down very well and my friend and I were very pleased that we made the trip because we were not disappointed.
