He's been a good crew member, and Captain Jason acknowledged that during his firing.
Captain Jason Should've Trained Adam While Onboard Adam was a hard worker that wasn't adequately trained. Captain Jason ended his firing by saying, "We’re going to let you go, and we’re going to bring in a lead deckhand. I need someone with a lot more experience." Adam was understanding but devastated. In a confessional, he noted, "I can’t believe it. I was learning a lot and having a lot of fun. It just sucks that it’s getting cut short. I completely messed up.
Adam made a terrible mistake in dropping the anchor on Below Deck Down Under, but he deserved a second chance. Captain Jason may be at wit's end with all the drama, but Adam was a good employee before the mishap. While Adam is leaving yachting for now, he intends to rise to captain level on a commercial ship and eventually return. Whatever he does next, he will likely do so with increased caution and care.
